Well, at least the days and evenings have been extremely pleasant, as we patiently wait to hear about husband’s job status.
We’ve gone ahead and bought a wonderful little Mac Mini. This cute little computer is for people who don’t want or don’t need a full huge iMac. I already love it because it’s so small and much better than our old one. Although cost was a factor, we also realized we didn’t really need a computer with full firepower at this time either, and it gives us a chance to understand iMacs more for the future.
Later on we will get a big iMac, and give the Mac Mini to our younger daughter. About the only thing the Mac Mini cannot do is do burn movie DVDs which I don’t care about, and it also can’t do huge gaming software programs that require tons of memory. We are not interested in gaming, since we have the Wii.
Otherwise, the Mac Mini can do pretty much what the big boys can do.
I should also add there’s a big online community called the 123 Mac Mini group. I will talk about this later.
Before I forget, there’s the Ventura Book Festival, which is coming up this Saturday. What is so great about this one is that it’s right next to the ocean. I don’t do well in hot weather, so it will be nice spending time there.
If you are interested in books, or in writing, and happen to be in Ventura County, do come to the festival. Even if you end up purchasing nothing, you’ll at least enjoy wonderful ocean breezes and walking for exercise.

then, look for the festival information.
So far the computer works great but I need to get MS Word for Mac installed shortly. I can tell you I am SO HAPPY I’m off the laptop. I have found I really don’t like them.
Keep on writing, no matter what.
